Job Description:
The SYNGO Director, Technical Sales Support leads the overall operation of the Technical Sales Support team and delegates assignments to subordinate staff. Responsible for defining overall operational objectives, processes, and work plans. Guides team in handling of incoming sales calls requiring price, delivery and/or technical assistance. Makes final decisions on administrative and operational matters, and ensures effective achievement of objectives.
The Director, Technical Sales Support position reports to the VP SYNGO, Siemens Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
• Works closely with the global SY Technical Sales Support team to align processes to obtain optimum effectiveness.
• Oversees the implementation of the Prospect Approval Process (PAP) for projects that meet the qualification criteria.
• Ensures Prospect Approval Process (PAP) is successfully executed for projects that meet the qualification criteria.
• Designs and implement process, procedures, and organizational structure to ensure timely and accurate completion of RFIs and RFPs within the team.
• Defines and implements a strategy for providing technical platform for SY product and Solution demonstrations.
• Develops and manages department budgets and/or business plans
• Responsible for innovation to continuously enhance or improve existing policies, products, and methods.
• Identifies resource needs and develops justification.
• Troubleshoots and resolves very complex problems within cross-functional areas.
• Responsible for overall success of function of projects within cross-functional areas.
Education/ Knowledge/Experience:
• BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree, where required. Certification may be required in some areas.
• Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for area managed and good knowledge of other areas in the company and how they interact.
• Demonstrates full understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, and performance management.
• Typically 10+ years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
Working Relationship/Direction of Others:
• Supervises multiple senior level employees.
• Maintains performance management responsibilities for employees under purview and directs hiring, firing, and promotion decisions.
• Develops team members through mentoring and coaching.
• Demonstrates leadership and role model qualities.
