Group Technology COO was established as a Center of Excellence (CoE) in April 2015, consolidating COO activities previously distributed across Group Technology. The GT COO organization has been aligned to the design principles of the new GT Operating Model, enabling harmonization and streamlining of the COO processes and execution capabilities and reducing administrative overhead whilst maintaining an appropriate level of control.
Group Technology COO service lines will establish and manage the delivery of key COO services to our clients, partners and Group Technology stakeholders. In conjunction with the GT COO account managers, clients and key stakeholders the Service Managers will drive the harmonization of the services across the tools and processes. This harmonization is critical to support and enable Group Technology and simplify the administrative processes across the organization.
Project Portfolio Controlling (PPC) Background
Project Portfolio Controlling (PPC) is one of the Service Management streams within Group Technology CoE. The PPC stream will be accountable for delivering consistent change portfolio planning, reporting and portfolio assessment. The PPC stream will work closely with the portfolio managers in the business divisions and Group Strategic Change Management (GSCM) to enhance strategic decisions and improved portfolio oversight and transparency.
This role will require you to work closely with senior managers within Group Technology, the divisional Governance committees, Finance, Group Strategic Change Management, other streams in GT COO and the program and portfolio management communities.
Tasks Within This Role Include But Are Not Limited To
Supply high quality, timely and standard materials, including reporting and analysis of program status and financial data to meet planned requirements of Group Technology and key Investment Governance stakeholders
Provide oversight, support and control of the GT Change portfolio and highlight performance and quality assessment and issues
Ensure that internal and external requirements and requests for information are addressed and met to a high standard
Appraise the quality of deliverables such as project plans, progress reports and Program Management Framework artefacts
Work with the GT COO streams and other Investment Governance stakeholders to ensure internal controls are in place – Broad understanding of IT functions, processes and organizations
– Familiarity with major functions of Finance organization
– Experience in IT transformation or IT strategy work; or post-merger integration of IT organizations
– Experience in working in global, enterprise IT management environment
