Director Federal Sales Aspera IBM Washington

Job Description:
Aspera, is seeking a highly talented, experienced senior Federal sales representative responsible for all direct or indirect fulfillment of Aspera software products and services to end-user accounts within the Federal Government. The position serves as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, partnering with internal and external resources to achieve overall territory targets and other key sales objectives, as a customer-facing, individual contributor. This person will be responsible for DOD and Intel accounts.
•Establish Aspera as the standard for high-speed file transfer with key accounts. Penetrate accounts at the highest level of management to achieve goals.
•Prospect heavily for new accounts and new business within the government space.
•Develop long-term customer relationships and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

•Recommend Aspera software product and service solutions designed to help customers achieve their objectives. Work with Sales Engineers and the CTO to provide technically accurate and compelling product information and/or demos.
•Provide accurate price quotations and work directly with the customer and the different buying methods within the Government space.
•Develop effective working relationships with all levels within the accounts with a special focus on keeping the account timely and up-to-date on any relevant product, services or corporate information.
•Provide comprehensive territory business plans, operational reviews, and timely forecasts to management.
•Regularly call on accounts independently or with a prime integrator or reseller established with the account. Work with reseller sales personnel on customer facing sales opportunities.
*Work with marketing team to jointly develop territory marketing plans to meet sales, as well as individual, market and product objectives.
•Have demonstrated leadership skills able to grow into sales team/territory leadership

Must be organized and able to prioritize varied projects as well as possess demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.

•Proficiency with standard business software applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce.com, etc.
•Must be comfortable with customer-facing sales situations and should be sales-driven, analytical, self-motivated, detail-oriented and customer-focused.

Desired Skills and Experience
Required

At least 3 years experience in enterprise software, networking, and/or storage solutions, products, pricing practices and selling strategies
At least 3 years experience in Demonstrated success selling world-class products in these technology sectors
At least 3 years experience in selling to Civilian Agencies and/or Department of Defense or National Security agencies
Readiness to travel 25% travel annually
English: Fluent

Preferred

DOD and/or Intel TS clearance level
Sales management experience and/or demonstrated peer leadership skills capable to grow into team leadvv
