Job Description:
The Sr. Director, Creative and Content establishes and drives the overall strategy for the creative execution of all digital (online) creative marketing projects. This is a senior-level role with significant responsibility, creativity, leadership, and business sense required.

Working cross-functionally and in partnership with external agencies, the Sr. Director, Creative is responsible for the vision, quality, and consistency of all digital creative work for SamsClub.com. The Sr. Director, Creative translates marketing goals, consumer insights, and industry best practices into strategic on-brand concepts and creative tactics that advance the company’s merchandising, marketing, business and/or branding objectives. He/She also oversees the management, application, and evolution of site standards, templates, and style guides, and ensures brand standards are consistently met.

Significant management experience is required. The Sr. Director, Creative manages, inspires, and directs teams of designers, writers and producers to deliver solutions for major campaigns, platforms, and projects in a fast-paced environment. The Sr. Director, Creative is responsible for hiring, supervising, inspiring and mentoring a medium – large team, and is able to work hands-on if needed. Proven ability to deliver effective feedback and manage cross-functional and executive feedback is a must. He/She also manages creative resources, budgets, workloads, and schedules to meet deadlines, and optimizes processes to improve efficiency and quality

Champions, shapes, and drives the evolution of the online brand and brand voice
Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics
Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce
Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals
Ensures the optimal utilization of Photo Studio and Imagery assets to meet Walmart's growing business needs
Fosters a culture of innovation, testing, and learning across functional partners (for example, Site, Marketing, Merchandising)
Partners with Global eCommerce to set the user experience (UX) strategy for Walmart.com
Provides overall direction
Sets and communicates the multi-channel creative strategy and vision


Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Creative Writing, Advertising, Fine Arts, or related field and 8 years leading creative teams OR 10 years experience leading creative teams.
6 years of supervisory experience.


Additional Preferred Qualifications
8 years experience managing large scale interactive campaigns in an online creative or related digital field.
6 years experience working for or with creative agencies.
6 years experience managing vendor contracts and relationships.
6 years experience managing cross-functional teams in a retail creative environment.
6 years experience managing budgets, including budget forecasting and reporting financials.
6 years experience managing brand initiatives for product launches.
