Director Global Quality Engineering for WDPR Technology will develop and implement a quality strategy for a global technology delivery organization and will lead a team focused on building scalable and repeatable processes, driving predictable and measurable outcomes for our Guest and Cast satisfaction by driving highest levels of quality into Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Technology.
ResponsibilitiesThey will be responsible for setting global delivery quality strategy and guidelines for increased testing automation and will manage multiple geographically dispersed service providers. They will be responsible for testing of digital, mobile, and legacy platforms and will set and achieve quality metrics focused on reducing defect leakage, Customer satisfaction, and operational efficiencies.
They will partner and Influence delivery and senior leadership to achieve organizational transformations focused on quality at point of origin during software lifecycle and implement practices & processes to proactively identify risk areas and develop improvement plans to avoid impairments. They will implement strategies for Continuous Integration and deployment, cloud based software and package applications. They will need to be flexible to travel domestically and internationally to ensure team adherence and stakeholder satisfaction. Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in Leading and Managing a Global quality organization and annual testing budget of $12-$15M
Proven experience in consolidation of tools, and processes leveraging automation frameworks
Experience in maturing organizations against TMMI frameworks
Experience in Service virtualization maturity and Test Data Management frameworks
Demonstrated experience with a complex enterprise level maturity to “shift left” quality programs
Proven executive leadership within a complex organization holding a high profile global brand
Experience with both Enterprise level testing tools and Open source tools to drive operational excellence
Demonstrated track-record of delivering innovative, high quality solutions on-time and on-budget
Demonstrated experience in LEAN techniques for delivering process improvement
Enterprise wide experience in quality practices and applications
Demonstrated ability to connect and influence others in order to achieve organizational priorities
Demonstrated ability to develop teams, mentor staff
Ability to communicate effectively to executive leadership in both business and technology roles
