Job Description
The qualified candidate will have demonstrated experience in advertising sales. He, or she will possess a passion and deep understanding of digital advertising, mobile advertising and video strategy. The candidate is expected to convey and articulate the overall business objectives of Opera Mediaworks and our value proposition to the brand and agency advertising community.
We're looking for an energetic, fast-learning, and experienced, consultative seller who has a proven track record of success in proactively driving revenue and quickly increasing a client base. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in digital media sales at a top digital ad network, portal/publisher, or programmatic platform with expertise in CPG.
This position is based in New York and report to the VP of Advertising, East Coast
Represent Opera Mediaworks with a high level of integrity and knowledge and act as a resource for your clients, agencies and team
Responsible for building and maintaining territory ad revenue, and when possible exceeding goals through creative and strategic selling.
Work with existing and potential clients to determine their business needs and formulate an ad sales solution.
Develop and maintain agency trading desk relationships to support OMW programmatic efforts when needed
Meet and exceed Quarterly and Annual Sales Goal
Ability to prospect for new business and accounts
Focus on initiating, and developing relationships with key clients within a given territory.
Track and manage advertiser pipeline to inform and exceed quarterly and annual business goals.
Secure strategic level relationships with senior client contacts within the account list or territory region.
Desired Skills and Experience
You've worked as a Digital Ad Sales person for at least 5+ years; digital ad network, mobile, or Programmatic experience
Must have 3-5 years experience managing client and agency-facing sales relationships.
Strong agency relationships especially with Zenith, Metavision, PHD
Good knowledge and strong network in the ad community
College Degree required
Demonstrate an ability to think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate efficiently internally and externally.
