Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, hard-working and energetic Product Management leader to drive a portfolio of products focused on helping companies manage security risks associated with the use of open source software. This person must have understand the world of software development and have experience working in a security-related company.
Key Responsibilities
Work with our development teams to communicate product vision, clarify use cases and requirements, resolve issues arising during development, and accept stories as they are completed.
Architect product and feature roadmap, articulate vision, and guide a team of product managers to deliver industry leading solutions.
Identify key product stakeholders; elicit input and develop a consensus around the definition and relative priority of core product capabilities, while managing stakeholder expectations.
Identify and track all current and potential competitive industry offerings.
Ensure that products support and align with the company's overall strategy and goals.
Conduct internal demonstrations of the product at regular intervals during development, to communicate progress and solicit stakeholder feedback.
Contribute to strategic planning and product roadmap by developing and communicating business cases to leadership.
Assist Marketing and Sales in the development product positioning, go-to-market strategies, and pre- and post-sales activities related to product functionality.
Serve as the internal and external evangelist for our open source security offerings.
Work with key customers and prospects to communicate vision and roadmap.
Represent Black Duck in key industry groups relating to open source security.

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or other relevant discipline, or demonstrated applicable experience. An MBA is desirable.
7-10 years of software or technology product management experience, preferably in an environment using agile development practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute on initiatives.
Must be detail-oriented, with high standards of quality work and have a track record of success.
Ability to interact and team with others is essential. Must be able to partner within organization to generate results.
Demonstrated analytical capabilities including the ability to analyze and report metrics.
Experience with static code analysis tools, software security, and/or code quality tools a plus.
A deep understanding of the application software development process. Hands-on experience as a software developer desired.
