Job Description
We are hiring a new Global Marketing, Data Strategy Director which is a newly created position within the Cardiac Rhythm Heart Failure (CRHF) Connected Care Business Unit. You will be responsible for the development of a comprehensive data strategy with the direct output and goal being direct revenue generation. You will also be responsible for creating product and solution road-maps, business strategies, tactical execution with significant collaboration with global business leaders throughout Medtronic.

To be successful you will need a strong understanding of the competitive landscape including start-up companies that are attractive for partnership, licensing, or acquisition. You will own the analysis of evaluating opportunities, creation of the business case and can motivate internal executives to act via strong articulation of market opportunity.

Position Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Director of Connected Care Marketing – Data Strategy will be to:
Develop a strategic business plan for the Connected Care Business Unit to capitalize on the value of cardiac data to improve clinical and economic outcomes based on customer insights;
Identify specific go to market tactics for the strategic plan and direct the execution of that plan through you’re the Connected Care Business Unit and other cross-functional partners.
Work with Business Development to consider acquisitions, partnerships, license agreements, or new business models and make recommendations based on business analysis and impact.
Develop and deliver executive presentations, internal and external, representing clear value propositions of the Connected Care Data Strategy.
Develop and own deep market understanding and unmet needs analysis.
Partner with cross functional colleagues with emphasis on R&D, finance, Global IT, BD, Marketing, and Healthcare Economics teams.


Desired Skills and Experience
Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10+ years of experience in business development, strategy or marketing role in the medical device, pharma, healthcare or consulting industry (8 years with Masters)
• Experience with project management, program design and execution

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or Master’s Degree
• Experience with marketing outcome-based services
• Experience with creating new channels to drive sales initiatives/programs
• Cardiac Implantable therapy domain knowledge helpful
• Experience with payer markets, global economic policy and clinical evidence issues
• International marketing experience
• Previous experience working with partnership, licensing or acquisitions
