Senior Director Applications Support Technology T-Mobile Atlanta
Job description
The scope of the role includes infrastructure operations and best practices, performance testing, operations policies, Standards and readiness, ITIL - service management, business intelligence, and wide range of applications management. This position will have a key role in collaborating with EIT leaders and third party vendors to develop enterprise wide strategy, while leading the teams in goal alignment and capability planning to improve the customer experience, IT capacities, security and performance.
More Specifically, This Role Will Assume The Following Responsibilities
Strong knowledge of enterprise operations architecture, planning & execution in compliance with SOX.
Infrastructure operations/production control, design, transition and operational processes, including knowledge of best practices.
Assess and deliver support tools especially automation tools and services.
Service operations delivery & monitoring
Ensure performance and delivery of 50+ FTE and vendor management, multiple contractors and managed service provider employees
Ability to lead a high-performing team; successfully lead initiatives, projects and activities that support departmental and organizational goals.
Must have solid experience in high availability, high growth, and high transaction volume business.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management and peers.
Ability to think critically solves problems, make decisions and build trust across the organization.
Ability to effectively envision, develops, and implements new strategies and technologies to address competitive, complex business issues.
Ability to present complex ideas to varying levels of stakeholders and business partners to gain synergistic approaches to issue identification and solution development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
10+ years' experience in progressive IT roles required; including technical operations roles.
7+ years IT management/supervisory experience required.
Demonstrated ability to lead and effectively implement change management in functional, technical and organizational environments
ITIL Foundations Version 3 and/or relevant, post baccalaureate management/IT training and certifications preferred.
