Manage Item Maintenance Team that has focus areas of responsibility across the Follett enterprise and Course Materials.
Product Support, Product Induction, Product and Price Maintenance, issue resolution and follow up. Financial activities to support clearance and promotional events. Lead Multi Area Pipeline (MAP) and other major program initiatives (ie, new store process) for Course Materials Team.
Specific Responsibilities
Oversight of Item Maintenance team which includes managing resource workload to support course materials departments with key product maintenance and setup activity and various other support functions.
Develop and continuously streamline business practices while maintaining customer service levels.
Document process flows for standard operating procedure manuals and future training opportunities, including fostering a professional development platform for CM career path.
Develops, leads and implements a Multi Area Planning (MAP) program for Course Materials that coordinates cross functional activity (Store Operations, Sourcing, Inventory Management, Publisher Relations, ADC Operations and Finance) for all major Rush seasons and weekly class starts. D
Develops key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure executional effectiveness, identifies performance gaps and develops ongoing remediation strategies with stakeholders.
Develops and leads a formal Markdown/Markup Management program with the goal of improving operational efficiency relative to markdown avoidance.
Holds formal business reviews with key stakeholders to provide a strategic view of performance and opportunities as well as annual reviews with second tier providers.
Expands breadth and depth of EDI connections between vendors and Follett.
Develops with IT exception reporting based on the EDI transaction to identify shipping and receiving issues.
Own the process of setting up new store based on pricing factors and ensures that all stores are flagged for COPAR unless reasons dictate that they should not be.
Ensure that all title level detail is clean and accurate, including that all titles that are eligible for COPAR are flagged for COPAR and all titles that are ineligible are not flagged.
Collaborate with IT to develop better methods of ingesting title information from various feed and thereby reducing the level of effort necessary for the Product Support team and store operations.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
MBA in Supply Chain, Operations or Finance preferred
+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Operations
Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office
Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in making sound business decisions
Strong analytical skills required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
Retail experience a plus
Moderate travel (10%-50%)
