Job description
Manage a geographically diverse engineering team that includes hardware and software (OS, application and cloud) groups. Closely work with the Product and User experience group to define the short and long term Intel Education product roadmap. Execute to and deliver products per the roadmap. Support worldwide deployments of IEG products including SaaS, FFRDs, IES. Manage and cultivate the technical relationships with broader Intel (SSG, NDG etc), and third party partners such as ODMs, OEMs and ISVs. Technical R&D on future applications such as wearables, machine learning, and Internet of Things.


Desired Skills and Experience
Experience in managing geographically and culturally diverse engineering teams. Passionate about building a strong engineering culture and driving excellence throughout the organization. Have a can do attitude and be able to deliver to aggressive deadlines. Technical expertise in at least 3 out of 6 of the following areas: hw design (clamshell, and tablet form factors), manufacturing, board support package, major desktop and mobile operating systems, mobile applications and SaaS products. Working knowledge in rest of the areas. Excellent communication skills to communicate technical challenges and product aspects to a wider audience.
