Director - International Employee Services - Netflix - Los Gatos

Job description
The Director, International Employee Services will define and support our HR Services function internationally. This individual will bring hands-on experience in implementing employment in new countries (e.g. APAC, EMEA, LA); developing and maintaining a compensation/ benefits offering that aligns with our culture, and keeps us competitive in the marketplace. Navigating the many complex compliance requirements with a keen understanding of cultural alignment is equally important.


Responsibilities

Build and lead an International employment services team
Develop employment practices and benefits offering in partnership with Legal and Talent.
Ensure compliance requirements are met, balancing our Netflix culture with in-country rules and regulations
Identify need for 3rd party expertise; maintain relationships and ensure smooth coordination in an effort to quickly arrive at solutions where outside expertise is needed
Communicate and maintain relationships with developed network of individuals in companies with whom we compete for Talent
Develop culturally aligned communication/interaction with our International Talent regarding benefits and employment operations
Coordinate/manage daily International operations and activities with team in HQ as well as Talent members in-country

To Be Successful

Deep knowledge of international statutory benefits, compensation, compliance, leaves of absence and common country employment practices.
Experience working within Asia and/or Europe is a big plus.
Experience with establishing employment Internationally
Demonstrated ability to partner with the best 3rd party expertise to support our employment expansion
Ability to think strategically, and execute quickly and seamlessly
Proven leadership and collaboration skills
Ability to arrive at creative solutions; balancing legal requirements with cultural alignment
