The Director will be responsible for planning and executing all aspects of Product Management for WDC’s Client SSD product portfolio marketed under the WD and SanDisk brands. The successful candidate will direct and motivate a team of product managers to develop deep market and customer insights and lead the larger organization to successfully deliver and launch WDC’s Client SSDs into the market. The Client SSD product managers represent Marketing in the Product Core Teams, and help lead those teams as they manage product scope and schedule trade-offs during the later phases of the product development cycle, and make ongoing business priority decision related to the respective Client SSD products. The Director, Client SSD Product Management is part of the larger cross-functional Client SSD leadership team and will work collaboratively with a set of peers including Business Operations, Finance, Research and Development, Product Planning, Outbound Marketing, Quality and Customer Technical Support.

Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in a combination of Product Management, Product Marketing, Product Development or Customer Technical Support roles in the technology industry
5+ years of people management experience; proven track record of recruiting and developing high-performance teams
BA or BS in technical discipline preferred. MBA is desirable.
Experience in SSDs, HDDs or memory is highly desirable
Understanding of consumer market, PC, mobile or server and storage architectures and applicable technologies
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence the larger organization
Strong analytical skils
Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
