Director - Creative Visual Merchandising - Victoria's Secret - Reynoldsburg
Job description
PURPOSE
Responsible for the development of visual innovative strategy and conceptualization. Supports prototype development and implements on-brand, innovative Victorias Secret ideas that inform future state. The Director works closely with AVP Creative, Creative Development, Store Design, Merchandising and Marketing to interpret themes and designs into presentation concepts for store design and visual interiors. These concepts support the branding message and business strategies, and create exciting shopping environments that drive sales. Remains aware of latest trends and technologies in the retail-marketing arena.
Director should be constantly updating awareness of trends in fashion and promoting ideas and concepts, which elevate the brand accordingly. Knowledge of innovative materials and techniques as well as extensive experience in product merchandising and display are critical to success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Devise, implement and execute creative visual strategies that support the business goals of the Victoria's Secret brand.
- Conceives creative merchandising and display solutions and new product introductions that align aesthetically with the overall direction of the Victoria's Secret brand position.
- In partnership with brand leaders, lead the conceptualization of prototype development and innovative, brand-right visual merchandising experiences.
- Partner with creative / design teams to direct corporate show rooms, visual presentations, floor sets, PR events and related merchandising initiatives through space planning, production placement and styling.
- Presents and review concepts and prototypes to leadership teams through the support of patterning, illustrations and 2d rendering to ensure alignment and determine support for implementation.
- Regularly research emerging fashion trends to incorporate in Victorias Secret's visual merchandising presentation strategy.
- Demonstrate an understanding of in-store marketing to ensure strategic alignment of creative concepts and effective marketing materials.
- Collaborates with SDC & VP on new fixture development, space planning, environmental experience that supports internal presentation through product and styling; partner to insure flawless execution.
- Leads innovative initiatives for new real estate stores.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in brand visual merchandising in order to elevate the customer experience and drive sales.
- Work directly with Store and Field Visual leadership to identify opportunities, gain client / associate feedback, and apply learning to achieve optimal execution and selling success.
- Provide strategic and tactical leadership to the Visual Merchandising Creative team.
- Develop overall team through regular coaching and performance feedback as well as providing opportunities to learn and/or strengthen the skills that will enable each associate to focus on career development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years in Fashion Merchandising, Interior Design, Visual, Marketing or related area preferred
- Experience in managing multiple complex creative projects
- Proven ability to create, interpret and implement Visual Merchandising concepts
- High level of influencing capability
- Excellent collaboration skills
- Proven ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities
- Strong organizational, planning and project management skills
- Experience leading, developing, motivating and managing talent
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communications skills
- Computer skills: MS Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe in Design and Adobe Photoshop
