Director - Wrap Accounting - NBC Universal - Universal City

ResponsibilitiesJob Summary

The Director of Wrap Accounting is responsible for the completion and reporting of all shows during wrap for both cable and network shows. He/she is also responsible for the financial approval of all production costs for shows in wrap. Additionally, the candidate will be required to have a working knowledge of tax credits (both foreign and domestic). The Director will manage a staff of five. In addition, they will work closely with various internal departments (such as Business Affairs, Production, Finance), external payroll companies and the show accountants in acquiring all necessary information in order to report timely and accurately.


Essential Responsibilities

Manage and update the Electronic P.O. system.
Process the yearly insurance and safety allocations across productions.
Responsible for the funding and/or repatriation of production funding in wrap.
Lead training seminars for training accountants on turnover procedures.
Work with studio departments reconciling production costs and the creation/implementation of policies.
Work with Business Affairs and Labor Relations on any outstanding claims or legal research needed.
Oversee the domestic tax credit applications, audits and collections when the shows/projects are turned over to the Wrap department.
Qualifications/RequirementsTechnical Skills:
Microsoft Office
Excel
Outlook
Show Biz Time Cards
Vista/PSL, Ease Preferred, not required
SAP/Preferred, not required

Experience/Education:
At least 10 years of industry production finance experience.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.

Eligibility Requirements:
Knowledge of Showbiz time cards, Vista, PSL and other payroll systems
Knowledge of different types of shows from MOW’s, Pilots, 1 hour series to multicam
Strong communication skills
Detail orientated
Team player
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
High integrity individual with ability to maintain confidential information
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Must be willing to submit to background check
Must have work authorization to work in the United States.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
