The Director of Product Management for Networking Portfolio is part of the IOT Systems and Software Group (IOTSSG) leadership team; IOT is a growth and strategic focus for Cisco.

The Team

The Director of Product Management will lead a team of Product Line Managers (PLMs) to drive a sustainably differentiated Product and Portfolio strategy for Cisco to gain share in the IOT Networking business.
The IOT Networking portfolio is a microcosm of the Cisco’s Networking portfolio with Switching, Routing, Wireless, Embedded, Compute and Network Management product families. The IOT Networking portfolio serves Industrial, Government, Utility, and Transportation customers. IOT Networking portfolio leverages broad Cisco differentiation while adding Fog, OT manageability and solution focus to drive success for our customers and partners.

Director of Product Management is a strategic and encompassing role to lead the product management team by providing overall product vision, integrated portfolio management, GTM expertise, and team leadership. The Director of Product Management will be the unifying force behind IOT SSG Networking product strategy and execution, combining feedback from sales, marketing, development, architecture, customers and prospects to set the strategic vision and lead the execution on new features and products.

The Director of Product Management leads technological and business innovation with practical solutions that solve real customer problems creating sustainable software and services based business for the company. The Director of Product Management, in close cooperation with IOT Sales, Marketing, Channels to drive the effort to meet and exceed bookings targets.

Minimum Experience

• Ability to drive a strategic vision while working closely with Product Management, Engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver strong results
• Minimum 10 years of Product Management experience from roadmap planning, pricing, forecasting, Long Range Planning, Project Execution
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Strong people leadership skills to lead diverse, 13 person, Product Management team
• Partner with the Solutions team to translate to Product Roadmap requirements
• Strong technology background with a passion for technology
• Deep knowledge of Cisco’s Switching, Routing, Wireless and Network Management portfolio. Ideally would have worked closely with the Central Product Groups and the Enterprise Segment portfolio
• Ability to manage the diverse portfolio, while creating synergies across the portfolio to establish Why Cisco and Better Together value propositions
• Take the portfolio from a traditional hardware centric monetization model to a recurring / software led differentiated offerings
• Deep knowledge of Certifications and Compliance requirements for diverse customer segments – Manufacturing, Transportation, Government, and Utilities
• Capable of working in a dynamic, change-intensive environment, while delivering consistent operational results
• Able to remain calm under pressure and maintain a sense of humor 
