Role Description
Internal change agent with an unrelenting focus on closing the gap between a innovative ideas and actual real world solutions

Work across the analytical workflow from data acquisition, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, modeling, and interactive storytelling


Lead agile prototyping teams applying innovative big data capabilities to address corporate-wide business problems

Initiate and establish internal and external partnerships/collaborations

Responsibilities
Partners with senior leaders to develop and drive analytical capabilities throughout the organization

Leads the development of the business case and prototype for next-gen analytics

Architect and product manager for analytical products which leverage emerging data sources, advanced methodologies, and new efficient technologies

Manages cross-functional team to address high-priority business problems

Research, identify, and apply new algorithms and technologies to current business needs.

Hands-on data engineering across multiple systems and data types

Qualifications
Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred in a quantitative discipline

At least 10 years experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry with preferably 5+ years in consultative role

Expert knowledge in statistical/scripting packages such as R/Python with fluency in SQL

Passion for data with experience working with large distributed data sets in Hadoop/Spark, graph databases

Demonstrated ability to advise senior level executives, and applies consultative skills including problem definition, consultative listening, hypothesis generation, data analysis, translation to insigh, and story-telling for impact

Ability to solve ambiguous problems*Ability to communicate complex analysis in a clear and actionable manner through interactive tools such as Tableau, Ipython, Shiny, etc
