Senior Director - Talent and Team Assessment - AIG - New York
Job description
We are seeking a Senior Director of Talent and Team Assessment to join our growing Talent Management team. You will report to the Head of People Excellence, and be responsible for developing, managing and supporting AIG's assessment strategy and approaches for development and selection of segmented and tiered populations including executive and senior leadership, middle management and shared services. You will also be involved in the refinement of our assessment capabilities for HiPo identification and development as well as team development.
Specific responsibilities will include:
* Design the AIG assessment strategy and establish the approach for development and selection assessment including vendor selection, methodologies and tools for the three tiers.
* Oversee the implementation, development, use and validation of surveys for leadership, core competencies, HiPo identification and team effectiveness
* Conduct ongoing research to ensure 'best-in-class' application and implementation
* Drive or participate in other Talent Management projects in which this expertise will bring added value such as creation of leadership, core and technical competency assessments
Qualifications
* 10+ years' related experience in consulting and/or an organization
* Facility with quantitative and qualitative data analyses; knowledge of individual, team, organizational and technical assessment design and pedagogy
* Internal discipline to set goals, plan projects, and meet deadlines
* Strong collaboration and partnering skills
* Deep understand and experience in the design and validation of assessments
* Ability to thrive in a highly diverse, energetic and changing environment
* Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate analytic strategies and results to
senior leadership
* High level of initiative
* A Doctoral Degree in Industrial/Organzational Psychology preferred, but not required
