Walmart is seeking qualified candidates for its Director Strategic Logistics Network Optimization Engineering opportunity.
This Director Strategic Logistics Network Optimization Engineering is a key leader in the Corporate Logistics Engineering Services Team. This Director leads a large team that oversees the analysis, design, and optimization of Walmart’s perishable logistic, supply chain, distribution center, and market ecosystem strategies. Key responsibilities include the development and optimization of network strategies that will improve operating performance inside the Walmart perishable logistics/supply chain network. Responsibilities include: provide senior engineering leadership to guide, design, and implement enterprise wide process improvement programs that drive logistics / supply chain / distribution center P&L performance, partner with market leaders to ensure key strategies and programs are supported at all levels, provide engineering and technical consulting for growth, integrations, strategic planning, innovations and process improvement.

Desired Skills and Experience

Minimum requirements for consideration:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
6+ year’s progressive experience in large scale logistics/supply chain engineering experience preferably in distribution center and transportation operations in both forward and reverse logistics.
Previous Director level leadership experience leading large diverse cross functional engineering teams in a fast paced matrix environment.
Ability to effectively lead teams to execute projects, achieve P&L results and managing large capital budgets
5 year experience developing large logistics network engineering strategies
Experienced with P&L management, capital justification and budgets, and improving operational performance.
Highly effective consulting, collaboration, influencing and communication skills, including written, verbal and group presentations & facilitation skills; experience effectively communicating across all organizational levels

Compensation: This position is located at the Walmart Global Headquarters in Bentonville, AR. The pay range is $102,000 to $160,000 and is commensurate with experience, skills, local and industry comparisons and team/department/company parity. In addition there is a 35% annual incentive bonus potential, $35,000 annual vested restricted stock rights, relocation and management benefits package.
