Director - Strategy - Nokia Technologies - San Francisco

In the Director of Strategy role, you will be responsible for driving the development of Technologies business strategy as part of the annual Nokia strategy process, as well as leading game-changing strategic initiatives and projects.


In this role, you will shape the Technologies long-term vision, mission and strategic agenda together with a team of highly talented and dedicated tech professionals. You will also be responsible for translating the visionary strategies into measurable targets and milestones, together with the Finance team. You work directly with President of Technologies to develop Technologies vision and strategy.

You will be a regular attendee in the Technologies Leadership Team, and facilitate Technologies related strategy discussions in the Nokia Group Leadership Team. You will join the Nokia Strategy Steering Group alongside your counterparts in Portfolio Strategy, Networks Strategy and HERE Strategy teams. You will support Technologies leadership in preparation for strategy discussions in Group Leadership Team and Board of Directors and strategic decision making. This role is based in Sunnyvale, California and reporting to Nokia Technologies CFO.

Desired Skills and Experience
We are looking for a highly motivated senior strategy professional with deep expertise in the tech industry. In order to succeed in the role, you will have:

Minimum of 10 years work experience in corporate strategy, strategy consulting, investment banking (or similar) in the technology industry
Track record of successfully driving major strategic initiatives and large-scale projects with exceptional achievements
An academic degree (M.Sc.) in Finance, Economics, or Industrial Engineering & Management, or similar field of study
Broad understanding of technologies with ability to familiarize yourself with new areas as needed
Solid experience in facilitating senior leadership teams and seeking input from relevant stakeholders
