Director - Database Services - Oracle - Burlington

Oracle looking for a leader someone capable of leading a team of DBAs and strong leadership skills from a large enterprise software company, ideally. We can hire a Manager or Director depending on your experience. Your team will be approx 30 people and 90,000 instances. This is a busy team. You will lead database direction and strategy. You must be hands-on and at the Architect level. The location is Burlington, MA. You will leads new product introduction or handling things once implemenations are live. Travel is less than 20%.

The Oracle Cloud for Industry (OCI) provides Cloud-based Infrastructure and Platform services to allow the Oracle Global Business Units to offer Cloud offerings in the Health Sciences, Communications, Retail, Finance, Utilities, and Project Management vertical markets. The Oracle Cloud for Industry (OCI) Architecture team is responsible for driving architecture innovation and enabling Oracle Global Business Unit (GBU) Cloud Offerings. OCI Architects bridge the gap between business and technology and combine a deep understanding of technology, applications, industry best practices, business processes and architectural patterns to develop Cloud solutions that meet the business objectives of the GBU’s and their customers.

Desired Skills and Experience
Able to Architect, Design and deliver, as well as lead a team, while not being afraid to getting your hands dirty.
Ability to lead a team of 30 people and 90k instances
Experience leading database direction and strategy for a large enterprise software company
Cloud experience is not required but a HUGE plus.
Managing Systems Admins people is a plus
