Job Description
Our U.S. Financial Services (FS) Practice consists of approximately 2,300 assurance professionals, including 223 partners and 650 managers. It spans industry sectors and functional skill areas, including insurance, investment management, capital markets, banking and real estate. We serve many of the world's largest financial institutions. This means that we have insight into the challenges facing the industry. We also provide a wide array of additional P&C consulting services regarding financial reporting and audit related matters, captive feasibility studies, transfer pricing, IRS tax disputes involving insurance reserves, cash flow projections, funding studies, allocation schemes, and retrospective rating plan premium accrual calculations. Position/Program RequirementsBasic Qualifications: Demonstrates expertise of managing traditional loss reserving and ratemaking projects, establishing and implementing engagement workplans, and conducting other risk-analysis related-projects that include at least one or more of the following areas:
Economic capital model validation; Enterprise risk framework consulting; Financial performance reviews; Strategic planning and analysis; Merger and acquisition valuations; and Reinsurance program review and expert witness testimony.
Demonstrates proven success and expert-level leadership skills with directing project management teams, including guiding the work performed by our associates, completing assignments with minimal supervision, and providing feedback and performance coaching to engagement team members.
Minimum Years of Experience:
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree with documented concentrations academic background in Actuarial Science, Applied Statistics, Financial Analysis, Insurance, Economics, Mathematics or related quantitative discipline
Certification(s) Required: Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society
Degree(s) Preferred: Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Applied Statistics, Financial Analysis, Insurance, Economics, Mathematics or related quantitative discipline

Demonstrates expertise with, and/or a proven record of success performing in a role emphasizing, directing project management engagements and teams that utilize detailed analytical and creative problem-solving skills to manage multiple, concurrent projects related to risk analysis and/or financial reporting in one or more of the following areas:
Reserve Analysis; Mergers & Acquisitions; Product Design & Pricing; Litigation Support; Regulatory Assistance; Alternative Markets; Reinsurance; Enterprise Risk Management.
Captive feasibility studies; Transfer pricing, IRS tax disputes involving insurance reserves, Cash flow projections, Funding studies, Allocation schemes, and Retrospective rating plan premium accrual calculations.
Demonstrates expertise with, and/or a proven record of success performing in a role that emphasizes, statistical modeling, related applications, and computer applications (i.e. Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word) to conduct analyses and render findings related to Enterprise Risk modeling, Economic Capital Modeling, and/or Complex model validation.
Demonstrates expertise with, and/or a proven record of success performing in a role emphasizing, interpreting and consulting on accounting standards (e.g., FASB, IFRS) as it applies to actuarial consulting and risk analysis.
Skills Preferred
Demonstrates expert negotiation and persuasion skills used to sell potential new service opportunities, including a proven track record with identifying and converting potential engagement opportunities and developing market presence.
