Director - Sales - PepsiCo - Pleasanton


Job description
The Director of Sales is responsible for management of North American Nutrition Operations for the West Region. The DOS is responsible for delivering incremental profitability to contribute to the Customer Teams Annual Operating Plan by building a relationship and selling to the Customers Operation/ Supply Organization. He/she must be aligned with the North American Nutrition Customer Mangers responsible for selling merchandising plans at the customer's headquarters. He/she will also be directly responsible for leading and developing nine Associate Managers who are responsible for upselling Customer HQ merchandising plans through the customers' District Managers while managing personnel on North American Nutrition's Direct Retail Team (staffed by Advantage Sales and Marketing).

Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
Complete P&L responsibility for North American Nutrition West region. Territory includes: HI,WA, OR, CA, UT, CO, NV, ID, MT, NM

Directly responsible for building and executing growth plans for regional customers
Provide leadership and development of Retail Sales team - 9 directs reports
Achieve Retail sales volume, revenue, and profitability goals for the assigned territory (Large Format)
Provide superior customer service
Activate local marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance
Demonstrate strong analytical and presentation skills

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required. Masters degree preferred.
Min 7 years' experience in CPG industry preferred
Customer Management experience
People management experience

Above average finance skills in order to build compelling profit wins for customer and internal stakeholders
Self-starter, ability to work independently without constant direct supervision
Superior presentation skills, both in development of compelling stories and in presenting them at all levels within customer and internal organization
Must be willing and able to travel up to 75% of the time
