Director - Demand Generation - Eventbrite - San Francisco

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Director of Demand Generation will lead the team responsible for lead generation integrated marketing campaigns across online and offline channels. In this role, you’ll manage our brilliant team of Category Marketers to set a strategy and craft compelling content and campaigns designed to raise awareness, build credibility, acquire leads and drive the sales pipeline across our industry customer segments to convert more event organizers into Eventbrite customers.


In addition, this role will oversee our Marketing Operations team to ensure our end-to-end demand generation systems and processes are running efficiently and seamlessly. You’ll work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product and Design teams to drive initiatives forward, and ultimately help accelerate Eventbrite’s growth.

We’re looking for someone who can manage and build a great team, can develop a creative marketing strategy, optimize program spend for maximum results, and execute and scale global programs. You will be leading the charge for developing new strategies and plans to drive market visibility, increase demand and help our sales team blow their revenue targets out of the water. We’re looking for someone creative and analytical, driven and collaborative, who can thrive in a fast paced environment all while having a great time doing it.

You Will:
Manage and develop a growing team comprised of top-notch Category Marketers and Marketing Operations
Gain a deep understanding of our customer segments through user research and define marketing strategies that reach and resonate with our target audience
Lead qualitative and quantitative research, and conduct competitive analyses to develop effective product positioning and messaging for your target categories, focused on customer pain points and/or critical business issues
Lead development and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive demand and deliver opportunities to meet and exceed pipeline contribution for the sales team
Oversee entire demand generation program including webinars, email programs, nurturing campaigns, on- and offline advertising, event sponsorship and activation at industry events and conferences, ensuring all marketing investments can be tracked and measured
Develop studies and build content to establish Eventbrite as a thought leader and key partner
Partner with product marketing on go-to-market planning and execution to effectively launch new features and products to users
Own the demand generation plan by target segments and industries to generate qualified sales leads using a mix of marketing programs, activities and events
Act as a collaborative partner with a high performance and fun-loving sales team
Guide our Marketing Operations team to measure, evaluate, and improve efficiency across all programs
Manage the category marketing, lead generation and operations budget

You Bring:
Minimum 8 years of B2B marketing experience in demand generation roles where you plan, develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns with a focus on quality and results
Excellent writing and messaging skills to position solutions through succinct, compelling, and well-written marketing strategies
The creative flare to build innovative programs that engage prospects and optimize marketing dollars
Proven track record of supporting sales to meet or exceed pipeline, sales and revenue targets
Excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and expertise at managing multiple work streams
Strong data and marketing analytics skills
Proven experience with a variety of demand generation programs (e.g., outbound marketing, events, lead nurturing, etc.)
Ability to lead and communicate effectiveness of marketing campaigns to senior executives and provide recommendations for pipeline growth
Experience with working with or managing marketing automation and marketing operations
