Summary
Major Consumer Package Goods (CPG) supplier in San Gabriel Valley area has an immediate opening for a bright, talented, seasoned Director of Supply Chain. Responsible for leading the supply chain processes, replenishment, forecast development/analytics, and logistics alignment to deliver service excellence to our customers. A fundamental understanding of replenishment methods and key supply chain disciplines including inventory management, project/promotion management, CPFR, S&OP, Direct Import, forecast/demand planning and global product flow processes is essential.

Responsibilities
Supply Chain - Replenishment. As primary point of contact he/she will be responsible for reporting customer supply chain KPIs, root cause analysis, inventory trends and how the supply chain alignment is shaping sell-in and POS performance results. This leader will determine the impact of inventory policies on shipments and existing inventory goals - both with the customer and internally.
The leader's focus activities are designed to reduce the total cost-to-serve through optimizing inventory, freight factor reductions and order profile management. Aligns with the sales to provide ongoing input regarding replenishment business opportunities and guidance on where the customer's inventory productivity initiatives will impact the incoming flow of new purchase orders.

Senior Level Sales Support. Play a vital role in supporting the business development needs of the sales function. Responsible for understanding and effectively presenting to the sales leadership team as well as to buyers/replenishment managers all relevant information surrounding inventory policies, in-stock analysis, lead-time components, pack quantities and any other operational component that impacts sales or inventory productivity. This leader must be aware of all key business trends and implement processes and corrective actions in a timely and effective manner with the customer and internal audiences.

Forecasting. Development for forecasts for sell-in and sell-thru (POS) in a high turn, high SKU count environment with high execution variability. Also must be adept with direct import (DI) forecasts and the associated challenges. Will drive CPFR to improve service and productivity. Frequent contact with senior replenishment leaders is required. Holiday and event planning, exit strategies, new item introductions and frequent modular updates are key elements of the business support efforts. Ongoing collaboration with supply chain team and business demand planners is imperative to maintain and to improve customer performance metrics.

Promotion Management / Planning / Execution. Develop a strategic engagement and alignment with sales and buying /planning teams in the promotional order writing process to effectively manage store inventory. Build plans to minimize excess inventory concerns that stems from end of life or phase outs. Align with the buyer to understanding his/her respective category/department goals and leverage this knowledge with replenishment team to balance inventory between high performing and under-performing stores.

People Leadership .This position is responsible for leading direct and indirect reports. This position will be responsible for their development planning and execution of agreed upon objectives, annual review process and providing general direction on daily job responsibilities.

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor degree in business.
Minimum 10 years of related experience with a demonstrated track record of success leading the supply chain function for an established consumer goods company.
Extensive experience with purchasing, demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, logistics and retail replenishment.
Key understanding of customer supply chain metrics and how they translate to the ongoing business performance and resource requirements.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficient with MS Office, Excel, and ERP systems.
Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
