We're seeking a Creative Director to lead eBay's visual-design discipline and work closely with our design teams to create beautiful end-to-end product experiences our customers love. Join us and help transform the future of commerce.
You'll create, define and evolve the visual language across eBay products, marketing, and advertising to ensure that customer experiences tie into a larger narrative. As a discipline leader, you'll grow and invigorate a community of visual designers whose work crosses products, form factors, and geographies.
You'll bring a fresh perspective to the company, one that rethinks and redesigns how people engage in commerce. As an inspirational leader, you'll attract world-class design talent that establishes Ebay as the company where talented designers want to be.
You'll be a change agent within eBay's global product-management organization. As a thought leader, you'll be instrumental in driving our customer-focused cultural transformation.
Ten or more years' experience in multiple fields of User Experience Design.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Factors, Product Design, or Communication, Design (or equivalent experience).
Your application must be accompanied by a stunning online (or downloadable) portfolio.
Proven creative leadership experience in a product- and services-centered organization with the ability to inspire designers to deliver excellence in design thinking and Customer Driven Innovation.
A proven track record of creating (conceptualizing and delivering) beautiful forward-thinking customer experiences for multiple platforms.
An unwavering customer-centric perspective, and an ability to anticipate and articulate the customer's needs through a common design language.
Expert knowledge of information architecture, interaction, and visual design, brand development and digital marketing, as well as a respect for content's place in the design process.
A breadth and depth of domain knowledge that includes past, present and future trends in UI design and creative strategy.
Real-world (not merely theoretical) experience in the fast-evolving areas of mobile, adaptive, and responsive design.
A great orator, exceptional in both verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to articulate the value of UI design in terms that resonate with product, business, and technology leaders.
Must be a great collaborator across multiple disciplines.
The qualifications must be objective, non-comparative, relevant to performance of the particular position, and enable the accomplishment of business-related goals.
