Senior Consultant Software Engineer
Job Location: Santa Clara, CA

Desired Skills and Experience
Working under consultative direction and using independent judgment as well as a high degree of creativity provides state of the art solutions to unusually complex and sensitive problems. This person will be the primary technical authority setting vision and technology direction for multiple products or an entire family of products.
This person will architect a significant part of the cloud protection portfolio.
Design a system that is able to protect data at Web speed and Cloud level
Develop critical infrastructure i.e. how data moves from Data Centers to the Cloud, if something happens between EMC and the cloud, how we troubleshoot it.
Part of the system already exist, this person will need to understand where we are today and where we want to be in the future. Understand the portfolio we already have and define where we need to get to.
This person will be a guide to several architects.
This person may have 3-4 direct reports.
This person needs to have a background in Storage Technology, Disaster Recovery and SAAS
This is a hands on person who can prototype and write code, Java/C++, it does not matter.
Web application development as it relates to Data Base, Storage and File Systems etc.
