Director - Sales & Business Development - Local Measure - San Francisco

About the role:
Local Measure is seeking an experienced Sales and Business Development Director to lead our expansion on the West Coast. This is a rare opportunity to take on a high-impact role as the leader of one of our most important business regions globally. You will be the driving force for our client and partnership efforts in your market, leveraging Local Measure’s success in Australia to expand the company’s presence stateside.
If you are an enthusiastic and entrepreneurially minded business leader with extensive deal-making experience, a proven track record, and solid customer relationships on the West Coast, this position is for you.
Compensation will consist of a generous base salary coupled with uncapped sales commission and an equity stake in the company.
Responsibilities:
• Grow Local Measure’s West Coast presence from the ground up, with a focus on building a scalable revenue stream in your market
• Create and execute a market development strategy for the West Coast region with the support of
Local Measure’s leadership in Sydney and Miami
• Generate interest from prospective clients and distribution partners at scale
• Articulate the value of Local Measure on calls, meetings, and presentations with brands and agencies using a consultative and tailored approach
• Successfully and consistently close deals with new clients, enabling you to achieve sales targets and KPIs
• Innovate best practices and new use cases for Local Measure’s product and technology and share them cross-functionally with our global team
• Evangelize the company and product at industry events and conferences
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Skills:
• Extensive deal-making experience in the tech sector, with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets
• Self-starter mentality and an entrepreneurial spirit; ability to generate and drive solutions independently in an ambiguous environment
• Strong professional network on the West Coast including established business relationships with marketing decision-makers and agencies
• Creative thinker/thought leader in developing new approaches, use cases, and best practices
• Thirst for industry knowledge and strong interest in the direction of the web including; Web 2.0, Social Media and mobile
• Commitment to building a world-class company and making an impact
• Down to earth, warm and approachable personality; divas need not apply
• Team player, open to collaborating and communicating with a global team
Requirements:
• BA/BSc degree
• 7+ years of experience in digital sales, business development, marketing, consulting, or media; leadership experience strongly preferred
• Relentless dedication to exceeding targets and a proven ability to do so
• Strong professional network and reputation as a trusted and strategic advisor among key decision-makers in your region
• Excellent understanding of competitive landscape and trends in the digital and social media space, and the opportunities this presents for brands
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills with astute attention to detail
• Best-in-class work ethic: proactive approach, rigorous and thorough follow-through, not afraid roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty
• Positive attitude, strong culture fit, drive to make a difference
• Willingness to travel
