Purpose
The DBD manages the Oracle Alliance relationship, pipelinedevelopment activities, and sales of Oracle-related services (Consulting andManaged Services). They ensure achievement of strategic revenue objectives foran assigned market segment, which may be defined as an Industry, Geographic, orSolution-specific territory within North America.
The DBD’s primary role is to generate, qualify, and closenew business for the company with a mix of existing and new clients. The rolerequires effective communications with appropriate client executives tounderstand their needs and deliver compelling and effective sales proposals,working in concert with the Service Delivery Pursuit Team.
Successful Hitachi Consulting DBDs have at least ten yearsof professional services and/or Oracle sales experience. They operatecomfortably with senior executives, work well independently, and have anentrepreneurial bent, allowing them to move fluidly from businessdevelopment/marketing activities to closing large, transformational deals.

Tech/Internet of Things/BI DBD (Dallas or Chicago and West)
Products Industries DBD (Northeast)
Products Industries DBD (Southeast)
Products Industries DBD (Northwest)
Services Industries DBD (Northeast)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· 50% - Helps coordinate and lead the sales pursuit process.In conjunction with Sales and Delivery team, develops new business from newcustomers and expands business with existing client relationships. Sees thatsales strategies/plans are consistent with company's long-range strategicobjectives.
· 40% - Builds a sales pipeline by developing, nurturing andmaintaining client, alliance partner sales force and new businessrelationships, and executing demand generation activities.
· 10% - Performs necessary sales administration to make surethat all parties are kept up to date on sales activities. Includesparticipating in weekly and periodic Go To Market team meetings and keepingsales reporting tools up to date
· Bachelor's degree in business, sales or marketing, orinformation services; advanced degree in business or marketing desirable.
· Minimum of 10 years in sales and/or marketing, with 5 ormore years of business development management experience.
· Excellent business development skills in business-to-businesstechnology sales with the ability to effectively direct business developmenttasks in order to maximize revenues and profits. In-depth knowledge of salesprinciples and practices.
· Must work collaboratively with Service Delivery personnel.
· Excellent time management, communication, decision-making,presentation and organizational skills.
Additional Skills
· Experience in selling to Fortune 2000 customers desired
· Experience with the Industry and/or Solution Pillarinherent in the specific position’s scope
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent time management, decision-making, presentationand organizational skills
· Strong Microsoft skills, including PowerPoint, Excel,Access, Project and Visio
Travel
· Regular and expeditious travel throughout the UnitedStates and occasionally overseas is required to meet client needs andtimetables
