Job Description
ADP is hiring a Director of System Development. This position is a hands-on technical management position with a full range of responsibilities to evolve and support ADP's leading SaaS products in the Time and Attendance domain. The responsibilities include leading a DevOps team in all aspects of application operations continuous delivery including release planning, configuration management, incident coordination and management of infrastructure projects.

Provide leadership in critical issue resolution to any client facing system issues 24x7x365
Manage application-specific production support processes, coordinating the involvement of business and/or IT development resources in problem resolution as necessary.
Assist Operations Maintenance team with problem triage, categorization, root cause analysis and ability to duplicate a problem
Work with other IT partners to ensure appropriate parameterization for scheduled maintenance, including coordination of priorities across IT infrastructure when required.
Facilitate the hand-off of new release functionality from the engineering team to the Operations Maintenance team.
Facilitate the gathering of business requirements to support Operations Maintenance activities as necessary.
Coordinate select IT initiatives within the operations group.
Identify enhancements or optimization to improve security, supportability, operability or performance of servers and applications. Develop supporting business case for suggested enhancements.
Integrate and optimize IT infrastructure monitoring capability to provide advance incident/event notification and performance metrics in compliance with SLAs
Collect, analyze and report SLA and Operations Maintenance metrics data for IT production environment. Take corrective action as warranted and approved. Work on continuous performance improvement initiatives
Manage a staff of direct and indirect resources for their assigned operations and maintenance tasks and managing staff levels and forecasts. Participate in planning process including justification of planned staffing levels.
Manage the release calendar for all Operations Maintenance activity
Manage the proper level of Operations Maintenance engagement in engineering/development processes on large projects to ensure that new applications/functionality are supportable following transition to Operations Maintenance
Manage/verify DR capabilities and coordinate scheduled DR exercises
Manage customer satisfaction expectations by providing leadership on service desk operations and participate in service desk operations tickets/incidents/requests statistical analysis leading to service optimization
Planning and tracking multiple operations projects, resource planning and allocation, task delegation to accomplish project goals and objectives, ensuring timely resolution of issues, using escalation as necessary, creation of ongoing status and evaluation reports, and reporting on team member performance
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Experience with medium- to large-scale Windows production environments, as part of an online service provider environment
Managed critical 24x7 infrastructure
Experience working in an agile development environment
Experience with IaaS/PaaS/Virtualization (VMWare, AWS, Azure etc)
Experience with systems automation (e.g.. Blade Logic/Chef etc)
Security architecture and risk profiling, worked with PEN testing and Code and site analysis tools (e.g. Nessus, Veracode etc...)
Owned production release/deployment process
