Director - Demand & Supply Planning - Mondelez International - Deerfield


Job description
Responsible for leading aspects of the Centre of Excellence (COE) related to Demand & Supply Planning initiatives including processes and tools. Serves as the voice of the Global Demand and Supply Planning (DSP) COE , specifying the process, the best practice, and proven implementation templates. Recognized as the authority on Demand & Supply Planning processes and tools.

Responsibilities are carried out in a variety of capacities, including internal expert and also leader and influencer of change and continuous improvement. Execution of job responsibilities requires close coordination with Headquarters COE and BPM Leaders, Project Leaders in Region and BU’s, IS Project Leaders, and external consultants. Ensure compliance to industry and company best practices through working in close collaboration with the CS&L Director, COE/BPM teams and Integrated Supply Chain VP in the Region. Ensures that all phases of Demand and Supply Planning are executed according to best practice, including assessments, education and training sessions, leadership orientation, implementation and on-going audit and assessment (sustain) phases of Demand and Supply Planning.
Works closely with COE/BPM, Region and BU leadership and BU resources in preparation of and realization of implementation plans. Together with the Region CS&L Leader, builds the Road Map for the Region for improvement of Demand and Supply Planning capability, APO implementation and builds supporting business case. Leads Global Governance for Demand and Supply Planning, and conducts regular Demand and Supply Planning Global Forums. Ensures process excellence for processes supporting Demand & Supply Planning such as Demand Sensing, Customer Replenishment, and Finite Scheduling.

Leads and implements necessary KPI scorecards and benchmarking activities. Plays a key leadership role in ensuring the success of initial roll-outs and implementation of Demand and Supply Planning processes and APO. Primary advocate for process excellence, governance and sustainability across RegionsWith strong knowledge of foundational supply chain related processes across the end to end supply chain, ready to step in with coaching, counsel and training to reinforce good business practices and processes

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications
Min 10 years General/Basic Background in Functional Area
Min 10 years in Planning Experience (Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Sales)

Min 5 years in Demand/Supply Management – hands-on, practitioner in Business/ Commercial role

Knowledge of I2M (desired)

External industry experience and contacts (helpful)

BS degree in Business or related discipline Required Masters Preferred

Working knowledge and experience globally in end to end business processes, including, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Fulfilment and Integrated Business Planning

Knowledge of tools, including SAP APO and JDA / Manugistics, used to manage demand and supply planning processes.

Knowledge of Terra Technology demand sensing solutions is a plus

Knowledge of Process and Tool Application in both Developed and Developing Markets, in Mature and Non-Process-Mature Environments.

Strong influencing, presentation and communications skills.

Interpersonal savvy and confidence.

Ability to comfortably interact with a broad span of roles, from Regional Presidents to Supply Chain analysts

Strategic agility, business acumen, process management.
