Director - Business Development - Jabil Circuit - San Jose

Job Summary:
The primary objective of this position is to lead Product Design & Technology Engagements with targeted Enterprise Computing & Storage Customers to win new business. This includes product roadmap development and alignment between customer and Jabil, developing comprehensive design & manufacturing proposals in response to RFP/RFQs, and positioning Jabil’s value differentiation to secure new business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Customer & Partner Engagement
Lead Roadmap/Technology reviews with target customers and strategic technology partners
Establish & foster executive-level relationships with key stakeholders within the customers’ organization.
Work extensively with internal Business Unit, Business Development, and Design teams to develop account sales strategies. Develop & execute action plans to support these strategies

Provide customer and market intelligence to design teams on roadmap alignment and design capabilities to support customer requirements
Actively participate in business case preparation and approval process for R&D funding
Work with cross-functional team to develop Design, NPI & Manufacturing Proposals to support RFP/RFQ activities for target accounts. Serve as main technical focal point with customers through entire RFI/RFQ process
Sales Tools & Processes
Manage sales funnel in Jabil’s CRM tool
Monthly/Quarterly Win/Loss Analysis, Sales Metrics and Reporting
Participate in Annual Strategic Planning process
Up to 50% travel may be required to support position objectives

Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required. MBA preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
6 - 8 years work-related experience required, preferably in Engineering or Technology fields (i.e. R & D, product design/development, road map processes, etc.)
Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
