Director - Product Information - Team Detroit - Dearborn


Job description
Position Summary:
The Global Product Information Director is responsible for the product accuracy of all work produced by Team Detroit. The Director will lead and empower our team of product experts to be the central source of knowledge for all Ford Motor Company vehicles sold worldwide.

Critical Job Competencies:
• Leadership: Lead global effort to understand and fulfill product information needs of regional/market offices. Implement common processes and tools to ensure product accuracy on communications produced by agency. Ensure team has access to resources needed to deliver consistently accurate work.
• Strategic: Understand how both Product Information and Integrated Production play a critical role in the global agency structure. Continuously look for opportunities to grow department and agency to better serve our clients.
• Change Management: Guide teams in creating and implementing effective strategies to improve organizational performance.

Major Responsibilities:
• Manage team charged with ensuring product accuracy in broadcast, print and digital advertising
• Position team as a critical resource for Creative, Production, Legal and Account for all product-, segment- and industry-related needs

• Develop and communicate strategic plans for global expansion, identifying key activities and priorities needed to support our teams internally and around the world
• Refine and maintain standardized processes to support the agency and Ford Motor Company
• Set and manage departmental performance targets, staffing plans, and long-range goals and objectives
• Streamline information sharing with appropriate parties in Ford, Team Detroit/Blue Hive and other agencies/vendors
• Analyze existing workflow and, if needed, implement new processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness

• Bachelor’s degree or work experience equivalent required
• Minimum of two years team management experience required
• Previous automotive experience highly desirable
• Previous agency and engineering experience desirable
• Physical and mental capabilities to meet the above listed job responsibilities
