Director - Small Business Banking - WSFS Bank - Wilmington
Job description
WSFS Bank is currently seeking a Director of Small Business Lending. This position is responsible for the management and administration as well as the strategic planning of the Bank’s small business division, including overall performance of the Small Business Customer segment. The incumbent will manage the sales, credit, marketing and the SBA program functions that support Small Business, including loan and deposit growth, increase in market share and credit quality measurements for the line of business. The incumbent will direct all aspects of the small business function and collaborate with Retail management on delivery of small business through the branches and contact center. The incumbent is responsible for the development and achievement of strategic goals, budgeting and planning for the small business division as well as coach, develop and direct the efforts of the Small Business Operations Manager, SBA Program Director and Small Business Team Leader to ensure that objectives are met and establish product and pricing strategies for Small Business; work in conjunction with the Chief Credit Officer to maintain acceptable credit quality. The incumbent will be responsible for meeting the financial targets established for Small business including but not limited to deposit and loan growth, net income production and market share gains as well as manage the relationships with agencies and vendors that support Small Business and serve as a liaison to the local business community and represent the Bank through service on Board and community groups. The schedule is a 40 hour work week M - F 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administrations, Finance or Accounting is preferred.
· Must have 10-15 years of business lending experience (i.e. commercial, small business, etc.). At least 5 years of Management experience is required.
· Must possess a strong knowledge of commercial and consumer loan and deposit products.
· Must have commercial credit underwriting experience including financial statement analysis and loan structuring.
· This position requires a “broad brush” understanding of SBA products and lending requirements.
· Must have proven experience in the area of commercial lending and will have managed a book of business.
· Must be self-motivated, have the ability to successfully multi-task and work in a fast paced environment with frequent changing priorities.
· Must have excellent problem solving and customer service skills as well as excellent oral, written communications skill, excellent presentation skills and listening ability.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described below must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
· Incumbent will be required to stand for intermittent periods of time.
· Incumbent may be required to sit for prolonged periods of time.
· Dexterity is mandatory as this job requires frequent use of hands and fingers.
· The incumbent will be required to walk, reach with hands and arms, push items over head, occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
· The incumbent will also be required to talk, hear, see, read and write.
· This position requires regular lifting and moving of 10-25 lbs.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

· Incumbent must also have the ability to count accurately and the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and record, balance and check results for accuracy.
