Job description
POSITION SUMMARY
The professional in this role develops, implements and maintains educational and learning materials and messages for both internal and external audiences. Many key stakeholders and leaders -- both inside and outside of the enterprise -- are avid consumers of the work produced by the incumbent.
Fundamental Components:
Individual & Public Exchanges (I&PE) Business Operations manages strategic projects and business functions to drive Aetna's success in the post-Affordable Care Act landscape. The work is topical, highly visible, intellectually challenging and fast-paced.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
The ideal candidate will combine the skills of:
- A strategist who can anticipate and support the needs of internal audiences (business partners, enterprise leaders) and external stakeholders (investors, brokers, regulators and the public).
- A policy wonk who revels in the challenge of translating the complexity of Health Care Reform into communications that distill what is important, digestible and actionable for a range of partners and audiences.
- A delivery partner who can manage a complex schedule of publications, scripts and tools, and support compliant execution of our exchange program under the new legal and market framework for the Individual business.
- A pioneer who relishes the prospect of entering uncharted territory and finding a way forward as the enterprise and the industry become more consumer oriented.

Specifically, the role may include focus on the following activities:
- Development of training and presentation material (internal and external) relating to public exchanges and the post-reform Individual market
- Monitor the success and participation of learning programs to foster ongoing process and program improvements.
- Participate / contribute in the development and ongoing maintenance of a communications strategy and execution plan.
- Ongoing maintenance of training and communications materials.
- Support project management for strategic initiatives relating to Exchanges.
In addition to the requirements previously stated, the skills of successful candidates will include:
- Health care reform background/ experience (preferred, but not required)
- Industry acumen
- Demonstrated strength in presentation development skills
- Experience creating and implementing solutions
- Strong organization and project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and in teams
- Strong written and verbal communications skills targeted at audiences at various levels internally and externally
EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
