Director - Client Management - Millward Brown - Detroit


Job description
A Director is responsible for effectively leading their team through the execution of full-scale custom market research studies. This includes managing multiple project teams for various products across Millward Brown offices, developing issue-focused analyses through regular and ad hoc reporting/presentations and expanding client deliverables beyond scope of project to provide insight on industry and like-product trends. Relationship-building, and expanding the scope of the business, are also key responsibilities of a Director.

Responsibilities
Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services. Acts with customers in mind. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains trust and respect
Acts as Trusted Advisor for clients with clear understanding of central business issues.
Proactively identifies and supports actions against clients’ central business issues through consultation and analytics
Acts as inspiring role model and ensures that team exhibits intended behaviors analytically as well as in our relationships.
Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully. Is constantly and consistently one of the top performers. Very bottom-line oriented. Steadfastly pushes self and others for results
Owns and supports revenue growth and profitability targets of the account portfolio
Develops and supports best in class consultancy and analytic approach across organization.
Supports negotiations with clients to ensure mutually beneficial relationships that create consistent impact, justifying our premium pricing structure.
Good at determining the processes necessary to get things done. Knows how to organize people and activities. Understands how to separate and combine tasks into efficient work flow. Knows what to measure and how to measure it. Can see opportunities for synergy and integration where others can’t.
Contributes to Greenworks Account Leadership planning: Discover, Gameplan, Activate, Orchestrate and Impact.
Discover - Develops and supports analytical plan of action to address clients’ central business questions
Gameplan - Identifies clients’ knowledge gaps and opportunities and recommends appropriate solutions
Activate and Orchestrate - Strategically identifies, prioritizes, and supports action plan to strengthen client relationships through SAP process
Impact – Monitors client development opportunities for growth and entrepreneurial activity on accounts.
Writes proposals and maintains appropriate corporate margins by servicing/selling $3-4 million annually.
Directs Account Staff as they ensure all phases of the study and analytical planning are completed on course.
Provides advisory support to mid and junior level staff on client engagement and the creation and execution of deliverables.
Elevates the view of Millward Brown within the client organization to create value
Provides thought leadership in Millward Brown by contributing to company learning, POV's and other non-chargeable activities.
Remains up-to-speed on current solutions and how they can impact client business.
Understands staffs’ career motivations and aspirations. Develop career plans and provide relevant challenges and opportunities
Leads by example and mentors staff to inspire, motivate and bring out their best.
Retains top talent and coaches out talent that is not right for the business
Maintains an elevated position with the team while knowing when it is necessary to get involved in day to day work to support the team.

Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum seven (7) years of experience working in a client facing, quantitative marketing research role.
Proven abilities in research reports, data analysis and interpretations and presentation preparation and delivery.
Experience with advertising, advertising testing and tracking and other marketing research techniques.
Automotive industry experience would be preferred but not required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A flair for building new relationships and nurturing existing relationships. Excellent analytical skills; keen ability to recognize and articulate the story.
Proven ability to grow existing business and build new business.
The ability to organize and manage multiple projects.
The ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2 year time span
