Channel Development Director (Director World Wide Partner Technical Enablement and Customer Care).
Position Summary:
Develop and deliver high quality, technical enablement and customer care programs to drive knowledge, efficiency, and productivity in a growing, diverse, global Partner Community. This role will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing Channel Partner technical enablement strategies, programs and best practices around Pre-Sales , Post-Sales Services, End-User Training, and Customer Care at the Global level for all product business segments.
This role is tasked with driving increased partner productivity and quality through training, supporting the global channel strategy, and ensuring a balance between Siemens, Partners, and Customers business needs. Success in this role will be defined, in part, by the ability to build and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of technical education offerings that enable a community of skilled technical partners in selling, supporting, and using Siemens PLM products and services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble significant knowledge of current internal capabilities, along with Partner development needs and “best in class” market technical enablement trends, to lead cross-functional teams to envision, plan, develop, and execute:
Partner technical enablement programs that contribute materially to achieving the organization's strategic growth objectives, building organization capability for the future, and delivering long-term performance.
Partner Pre-Sales technical enablement programs: End-to-end program planning, execution and measurement of Technical Pre-Sales Readiness and Enablement efforts directed at field and channel personnel to improve sales productivity and partner win rates. Integral internal cooperation and alignment with Pre-sales council, zone pre-sales leadership, and business segment business development teams.
Partner Services technical enablement programs: Building the capabilities and competence of our partner post-sales technical skills, as well as pre-packaged services, through global programs. Develop business requirements for skills assessment approach / tool for our partner technical teams. Integral internal cooperation and alignment with Product Driven services, Global sales and Services, GDC, zone services leadership, and business segment business development teams.
Partner End User training programs: Design innovative training offerings including virtual training, e-learning, mobile, and social-learning initiatives grounded on continuous learning methodologies that our partners can deliver to our mutual customers. Integral internal cooperation and alignment with training and development organization, end user training organization, zone channel leadership, and business segment business development teams.
Partner Customer Care programs: Develop and deploy best in class partner and customer care support programs leveraging the variety of platforms and groups within Siemens PLM. Integral internal cooperation and alignment with PDS (Product Driven Services), GTAC (Global Technical Access Center), VOC team, and zone channel leadership.
Work to publicize the partner enablement content and training sessions within Siemens PLM and within the extended Partner field organizations and Partner community. Manage the implementation of any social networking strategies associated with content or programs.
Work to capture and systematically reuse best practices that emerge relating to content development, content distribution, sessions and events, partner relationship management, program strategy and measurement.
Collaboration with global channels and execution of all programs to ensure established goals are met.
Advancement of Siemens products through commonality of procedures and teams throughout Global regions. .
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing or similar field of study required.
5-10 years of experience in a technical enablement role or similar process based role in a high-tech environment, including: communications and partner programs, online programs, large and regional events, specialized curricula, and training or enablement management.
Professional Development including program management, leadership and communication skills.
The ability to travel both domestic and international about 20 % of the time.
Background with Siemens PLM products and technologies desirable
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in management, marketing, business or similar degree of study Preferred.
Dynamic and engaging style with exceptional communications skills – written and verbal. Able to present to all levels and audiences internal and external to Siemens. Able to drive participation and contribution through persuasion.
Ability to articulate and evangelize the vision and future direction of Partner Enablement. Strong experience in networking into other organizations to build ongoing relationships with stakeholders.
Proven program and project management skills. Able to give and receive feedback positively. Exercises strong problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles. Meticulous attention to detail.
Team player, able to juggle multiple work streams with matrixes resources and goals in a dynamic, growing company where cultural change and matrix organization is a norm. Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements.
Plays an active leadership role, taking initiative to drive effective and efficient work and is committed to continuous improvement. Comfortable presenting to, engaging and obtaining support from senior management
Ensures focus on measureable outcomes and value to the business. Establish appropriate measurement criteria for the enablement function and report to management quantifiable progress over time
Extensive experience in training, channel or partner readiness, enablement tool creation and implementation of best of breed online training system. Experience with various trends in learning technology (i.e., Learning Management Systems and on-demand authoring tools/approaches)
Experience working with vendors and subcontractors, including budgeting and purchasing, monitoring and driving to firm schedules and results.
Exercises professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive corporate and partner information.
Keep a pulse on the competitive landscape, industry trends, such that curriculum adjustments and delivery mechanisms are timely and high value.
Experience working across international cultures in Europe, Mid East and the Far East.
