Job description
The Director for Catalog Marketing plays a critical role in the strategic planning and implementation of marketing initiatives including catalog planning, database development, and merchandising planning and analysis. This is a highly cross functional role, requiring strong business presence amongst senior leadership, and influence in guiding strategic decision making on catalog marketing plans and initiatives. In addition, the scope of the role includes campaign and database management, as well as list processing. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of processes, tools, initiatives, and technology required to deliver on marketing goals and plans. You'll direct the activities of the catalog planning and marketing operations team, and work across the organization to support strategic business needs while enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, programs, and infrastructure. The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional collaboration skills, detail-orientation, results-driven, strong managerial, organizational and project management skills.

Additional responsibilities include:
Develops and directs the implementation of marketing programs for the catalog division. Marketing database analysis is the basis for all decision making and program recommendations.
Develops implements and manages circulation plans providing revenue and expense forecasts.

Interacts with Merchandising department providing catalog performance by category, sub category and item level detail within individual and seasonal catalog drops.
Provides and continually refines reporting to measure channel performance.
Uses reporting as basis for strategic program development supporting the needs of Marketing and of other departments.
Successfully develops strong business relationships across departments in support of strategic initiatives.
Identify, develop and manage contractual relationships with strategic partners and providers.
Provide subject matter expertise on automated marketing operations and campaign and data management best practices.
Ensure all processes and campaigns meet compliance requirements.
Lead identification and implementation of new technologies and/or enhancements to marketing operations applications and platforms, including collaboration with marketing, IT, and other cross-functional partners.
Manage all aspects of customer data management, including alignment with development and support on master data management initiatives. Implement best practices in data base management to optimize data integrity.
Develop and execute strategies related to the advancement of Campaign as the central tool for campaigns.
Full P & L Responsibility

8-10 years of relative catalog marketing experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required, in addition to the following requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field.
Exceptional analytical skills to lead catalog planning efforts and guide decision making to meet profitability goals
Ability to understand complex marketing processes.
Strong communication and presentation skills to communicate at all levels of the organization. This includes a strong command of Excel and Powerpoint as tools used to analyze and communicate strategic plans and messages.
Ability to work collaboratively across the organization in support of enterprise-wide strategies.
Strong management and leadership to build and retain a team with diverse set of skills.
Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail.
Experience with budget management and financial analysis.
Self-motivated with ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in fast paced environment
Plans, organizes, schedules, budgets, and problem solves in a highly efficient, productive manner. Able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities.
IT knowledge to identify and manage needed infrastructure and software support solutions.
Extensive experience and expertise with CRM solutions, marketing automation tools (IBM/Unica) and email platforms.
