Director - Business Development - Healthcare - American Council on Exercise - San Diego

Under general direction of the Chief Operating Officer, manage the business development healthcare team and strategic partnerships related to healthcare and allied health organizations, associations and trade schools. Develop strategies for ACE partnerships, products and programs in alignment with organizational goals, objectives and strategies set forth by the Executive Team related to long term acquisition and loyalty. This role is responsible for formulating plans for future growth of ACE programs and services in the healthcare vertical with a focus on B2B customer engagement, partnerships and retention.

PERFORMANCE STATEMENTS:
- In collaboration with leadership team members, identify and implement customer experience and loyalty programs related to B2B partners in healthcare vertical.
- Identify and implement ongoing measurement tools and tracking related to business development, loyalty & retention.
- Secure new business by supporting and/or leading business development efforts in healthcare vertical.
- Lead healthcare vertical business development staff in achievement of revenue and profitability targets.
- Direct the development of the healthcare national accounts team, budgets and sales plans.
- Advise the Leadership & Executive Team in managing sales and business development efforts and recommend plans for addressing areas of opportunity.
- Develop sales and business development strategies, tactical plans, and budgets for key accounts and distribution channels in order to achieve the corporate goals and objectives.
- Participate in the development of new products and services to meet the needs of the market.
- Represent ACE at industry events.
- Travel required
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.

Desired Skills and Experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced consultative sales skills and documented B2B sales success in healthcare or allied health as individual and in leading sales teams
- Advanced ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships
- Proven performance in selling into new markets
- Proficient in enabling technologies, including monitoring compliance and standards for CRM with sales teams
- Proven ability to drive sales strategy and lead outside sales teams.
- Proven performance related to the management of customer loyalty and retention, such as establishing measures, setting targets, linking to incentives
- Advanced ability to obtain customer information and feedback to improve products, assess the cost/value implications and make recommendations in the best interest of the customer
- Advanced management and communication skills (written and verbal); presentation skills, leadership skills; team-builder/collaboration skills; negotiation skills; and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully across departments to ensure alignment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience selling education, publications including consumer or trade publications.
- Experience developing, implementing and managing global business development initiatives
- Healthcare/Allied Health industry experience
