Director - Sales - BLM Technologies - Minneapolis


Job description
The Director of Sales position will represent BLM’s hardware products and service solutions and is responsible for growing revenue into both existing customers and new business target accounts within an assigned geographic territory. This position is also responsible for developing an annual territory business plan identifying a specific action plan to achieve assigned targets/goals and quotas. Performance will be measured by pipeline opportunity growth and the ability to attain established sales objectives. The candidate for this role will be located in the western United States.


Responsibilities:
The Sales Director will play an integral role in the success of the Sales team. Specifically s/he will be responsible for:
Meeting and exceeding established sales quotas.
Establishes department measurements to accurately and consistently forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue numbers for assigned region.
Responsible for overall management of Account Manager for assigned region.
Expertly demonstrates the BLM Technologies’ platform capabilities via online meetings and in person.
Regularly participates in sales, strategy and coaching calls.
Coaches and mentors assigned Account Manager to develop their ability to effectively sell BLM Technologies’ solutions and services, and achieve established revenue objectives.
Ensures Account Manager maintains a high number of weekly new prospect meetings.
Makes prospecting a part of the regular routine, ensuring that new prospects are being added to the pipeline on a consistent basis.
Knows how to quickly vet opportunities, separate who’s mildly interested from real potential, and then convert qualified leads into customers.
Continually learning about BLM Technologies’ platform updates and improving selling skills.
Being well informed about current banking industry trends and being able to talk intelligently about it.
Becoming familiar with all BLM Technologies’ partner relationships.
Becoming proficient with SalesForce.com – and effectively using the sales force automation tool to enter all sales, contact and customer communication information into this system to support accurate and proper forecasting / reporting.
Keeping abreast of competition, competitive issues and products. .
Preparing written presentations, reports, contract negotiations and price quotations.
Effectively and efficiently employing BLM Technologies resources at appropriate stages in the sales cycle; matching level for level, to grow and advance the sale and overall relationship.
Developing positive relationships with other BLM Technologies employees in sales, marketing, purchasing, customer service and other departments, as needed.
Collaborating with colleagues and supporting the overall team effort within the sales organization, to ensure that knowledge and expertise is leveraged throughout the sales team.

Desired Skills and Experience
4-year degree
Prior quota carrying experience in software sales a must
Proven success identifying and closing new business required.
Exceptional interpersonal skills
History of exceeding quota/over-achievement
List of existing education clients is a bonus
Successful achievement of 1M+ quotas, using a consultative selling methodology
Ability to manage a pipeline of 50+ accounts at any given time
Ability to work in a team environment
Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle; proposing, presenting and discussing solutions with C-level and other decision-makers
Excellent communication skills: both written and oral
Other Requirements:
The position will focus on the western United States and candidate should be based within this region.
Travel: Expect 20-40%+

Uncapped earning potential = base salary plus uncapped bonus/commission structure
