Business Development Director - Inspire - New York


Job description
Inspire, the leading patient social network, is looking for a talented candidate to join our team and help us achieve great things in healthcare. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience selling to key decision makers in brand and marketing teams in pharmaceutical companies. In this position you will be part of a growing team and play a critical role growing and guiding Inspire’s engagement with the pharmaceutical industry.
Your responsibilities will include:
Selling Inspire’s market research and patient awareness services to pharmaceutical companies.
Generating, growing and managing a pipeline of potential pharmaceutical customers.
Meeting quarterly sales targets.
Writing proposals for and negotiating contracts with pharmaceutical companies.
We are seeking candidates located in NY/NJ area, although we are flexible, for the right candidate. Candidates must be based in US.


Desired Skills and Experience
· 5-7 years experience in selling to pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry, especially to brand teams and marketing departments.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
· Experience in writing proposals for and negotiating contracts with pharmaceutical companies.
· Ability to work in a team environment in addition to being able to work on your own.
· Knowledge about social media technologies and how they apply to healthcare is a plus.
· Entrepreneurial spirit and drive.
