Account Director - IA Collaborative - Chicago
Job description
Currently, we are looking for a talented Account Director to serve as the face of IA Collaborative across assigned accounts, providing senior leadership to project teams and expert consultative value to clients. This individual will champion the user driven design process and deliver a wide range of strategic design and innovation solutions across user experience, brand, channel, profit model, process and partnerships. They will lead the development of near and long term project opportunities and partner with internal teams to further develop relationships within assigned accounts.
As an Account Director you will:
Act as the primary and senior client contact for assigned accounts. Develop and nurture client relationships to deepen our presence across client businesses.
Create comprehensive account plans and strategic project opportunities to acquire new business. Draft proposals and define contract terms and conditions for project work. Leverage internal resources to craft pitch presentation work. Work with discipline directors to define project approaches and plan out project staffing and resource allocations.
Oversee the management of projects to ensure that deliverables coincide with project scope, plan, goals, and objectives. Provide leadership to account managers and senior account managers to ensure that client experiences are enriched at all engagement levels.
Lead collaborative client planning sessions, regularly scheduled meetings, ideation sessions, and presentations from project inception.
Concept and craft key messages for brand and innovation strategies, as well as developing strategic copy, which communicate insights, strategic directions, and creative concepts.
Proactively provide mentorship to junior team members and direct reports with best practices to strengthen overall team performance and delivery.
Maintain knowledge of client industries and familiarity with competitive landscape.
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in a related field required, advanced degree preferred.
At least ten years of client service, relationship management and/or account strategy experience. Seasoned at playing a leadership role across accounts.
Demonstrated success in identifying, initiating and nurturing new and/or on-going business opportunities. Track record of developing senior level client relationships, client references a plus.
Dynamic and creative written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Enchanting client presence, expert level meeting facilitation skills.
Capacity to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
Track record of leadership, coaching and mentorship capabilities.
