Director - Sales - Tenere - Minneapolis


Job description
Tenere is a rapidly growing manufacturer of metal and plastic parts. With locations in Wisconsin and Colorado, we are servicing customers on a contract manufacturing basis. We seek a leader who can effectively lead a field sales team, and produce strong revenue. Will manage a small team of Business Development Managers who call on and sell our services. We are seeking to diversify our markets. We currently service many outstanding customers in the high tech industry, parts for computers/servers and other peripherals. We proudly serve them with a Program Management team based in Somerset,WI. Our VP of Sales and Marketing is also based there, and this position reports to that individual.
Works closely with Director of Program Management, coordinates sales forecasting, account status reports, planning and budgeting. Proactively strives to opportunities for sales process improvements that produce results. Prepares and ensures timely and accurate reports for management decision making. Works closely with VP in this area. Impements enabling technologies such as CRM, to field sales team. Coordinates sales training, creating strategy, defining needs, and recommends resources to ensure strong training for the team.
Key expectations and accountabilities incude accurate forecasting, achieving and exceeding budget for sales, strategic objectives aligned to corporate goals and objectivves, Ensures on time delivery when sales are made, follows up with Program Management team. Responsible for efficient allocation of technology, resources and training that improve sales team performance.

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent a must. 5-10 years of progressive sales and sales management experience, demonstrating a "work your way up" by resuls and performance in all areas. Must have metals and/or plastics manufacturing indusry experience. Strong leadership skills to moitivate a team of sales professionals. Strong analytical skills to identify market threats, Tenere weaknesses, and recommends solutions and approaches to put Tenere in a winning position. Must be customer-centric, able to be voice of the customer. Ability to implement and follow company policies, while tactfully dealing with customers who might be impacted by these.
