Director of Business Development
AliveCor, the creator of the smartphone ECG, which has now captured over a million ECG’s from thousands of active users, seeks a Director of Business Development to join a start-up leading the digital health revolution. This is a new role that is focused on building long-term value through business-to-business partnership opportunities. Reporting to the VP of Business Development and Marketing, the Director will source, negotiate and close deals, as well as manage account relationships.

Desired Skills and Experience
Responsibilities:
Source U.S.-based partnership opportunities including health systems, pharmaceutical companies, medical device makers and technology companies
Manage the company’s global distribution and reseller programs, including access to retail channels
Work with the legal team to create mutually beneficial term sheets and contracts; negotiate and close
Define the market opportunity, distribution strategy and business models
Identify new opportunities, beach head targets and qualified prospects
Manage existing business-to-business account relationships to ensure commitments and goals are met
Eventually lead a business development team, including account managers, and managers that focus on international opportunities

Preferred Qualifications:
At least 5 years of strategic planning, business development or sales experience, particularly in healthcare
Existing, trusted business relationships in key industries served
Proven financial management skills
Bachelors degree from top, world-renowned university
Proactive attitude, self-starter, ability to think and operate independently
Ability to cope with shifting startup environment and priorities
Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
Collaborative team player and consensus builder
