Job description

We are looking for a key player to make tremendous gains in technical innovation, reliability, and efficiency directly improving the company’s key metrics. A successful track record of operating in high growth, fast paced, international (offshore) environments is a strong indicator of your ability to excel in this highly visible, global role.

In order to lead and command the respect of such highly technical teams this person must have strong technical experience in an e-commerce environment, including 5+ years in leadership and management experience. Very strong understanding of ASP.NET web platform such as web forms/ MVC, layered architecture, design patterns and Caching technologies as well as strong knowledge about web technologies are vital for an immediate contributor.

The right person will be a creative mind with a compulsion to innovate; areas such as analytics and big data are just the tip of the iceberg.

Responsibilities:
Drive Business Strategy; working closely with the CTO/CCO to determine priorities; develop short term and long term product roadmap and prioritize projects with business owner based on roi, top line revenues and shareholder value.
Technology Management of multiple technology teams comprised of teams of experienced software developers, UX and QA engineers, and product managers. As well as define technology vision and strategy and create an operational roadmap for development, designers and QA engineers; creating an environment that drives innovation and challenges the team to explore and experiment new technologies to grow the business
Technical Leadership; Reviews Designs and Architecture with attention to details and produces flexible and scalable software architecture and designs with effective use of OOPS, Design Patterns, Enterprise Libraries
SCRUM Project Management ownership of the Product delivery for the brand/department/product.
Manage Tech Capital
Vendor Management, Outsourcing And Legal

Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements:
Background
Master’s/ MBA Degree in IT/ CS or Bachelor’s Degree in IT/CS.
15+ year’s strong technical experience in an e-commerce environment, including 5+ years in leadership and management experience managing at least 3 Director level reports and matrix teams of 100+.
Experience working off-shore development teams; preferably in India.
Deep understanding of high traffic E-commerce platforms
Successful track record of operating in high growth, fast paced, international environments
High conceptual problem solving and quantitative analytical aptitudes, engineering, financial, consulting, analytical quantitative educational/work back ground.

Technical Knowledge:
Very strong understanding of ASP.NET web platform such as web forms/ MVC, layered architecture, design patterns and Caching technologies
Strong knowledge about web technologies HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery and Design Patterns.
Demonstrated expertise in Design Patterns, Object Oriented Design and Application / Systems architecture.
Strong understanding of XML Web Services and WCF Services and related technologies
Expertise in architecting, designing and developing highly scalable large scale web based systems and highly available applications.
Strong Champion of Agile / SCRUM Methodologies. Must have lead Scrum of Scrums
Must have strong experience in Visual Studio IDE tools, Version controls using Team Foundation Server, Build Automation
Strong experience Project management methodology & process improvement tools (lean, six sigma)

Great leadership and management qualities to manage and motivate a team of 200+ software, UI and QA Engineers
Able to translate new trends and technologies into quick implementation to drive biz growth
Must be results-oriented.
