Senior Director - Vision Insurance Strategy - Luxottica - Mason


Job description

Position Summary:
Responsible for leading, in collaboration with Brand leaders,EyeMed operational and strategy leaders and other shared services functions, thestrategic planning and management of business activities that optimize thefunded insurance business. Leads andsupports the strategic efforts (both at the Lux NA and LC Brand level) to growinsurance lives, optimize the use of vision benefits and optimize LC’s share ofinsurance business.

Additionallyis responsible for providing leadership in collaboration with the LC PricingTeam in the development and execution of consumer-centric pricing strategiesand initiatives to meet both discount management-optimization and businessgrowth goals.

Also, responsible for supporting andexecuting strategic analysis across the areas of GDC, Lens-Innovation andPricing/Discount Management.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
GDC Strategy
· LeadLC’s strategic planning related to vision insured customers; collaboratewith EyeMed leaders to formulate and plankey GDC growth strategies and initiatives
· Ownthe forecasting and analysis of the GDC Funded business; provide perspective andstrategic implications, identify potentialopportunities or risks to the business and develop recommendations/action plansto address both
· Buildcollaborative working relationships with EyeMed and LC leaders
· Responsibleto monitor and optimize operational and transactional elements of the visioninsurance experience – for both associates and customers
· Identifyopportunities for process and experience improvements, develop recommendations,and advocate for and obtain approvals
· Actas a vision insurance SME within the Brand - - attends cross-functional meetingsand participate on cross-functional project teams, ensuring insurance impactsand influences are properly understood and considered in Brand initiatives andevents

Discount Management/ Pricing
· Actas a subject matter expert for the organization on discount management andpricing strategies
· Developstrategies and recommendations on discount optimization and pricing policiesand tactics
· Evaluate ways that can influence andincrease the Brand’s revenue growth
Provideaccurate and timely discount management analyses and reporting
Performdata and market driven analytics to support price and discount strategy anddevelop recommendations for profit improvement

Strategic/FinancialAnalysis
· Actas a special projects financial analysis/strategy resource for the Brand on a ‘as-needed’basis
Identify,scope, propose, and manage the analysis and interpretation of data to supportbusiness decision-making
Continuouslyidentify new opportunities to leverage analytics to improve our ongoingoperations and discover and develop new revenue drivers

Knowledge and Skills
· Understanding of vision insurance industry and vision insurance products
· Technical knowledge of pricing strategy and price management competencies
· Strategic thinking – ability to derive the strategic essence implications of business problems and decisions; Build credible strategies to achieve desired objectives
· Ability to work constructively and collaboratively with other functional areas – effective in building relationships at every level
· High-level organization, communication, and facilitation skills; demonstrated credibility with executive management
· Ability to multi-task in a faced-paced environment.
· Excellent prioritization skills with a clear focus on results.
· Strong consultative skills in identifying needs and developing creative solutions to business problems.
· Ability to lead efforts to identify and improve organization and business outcomes

· Ability to transform ideas into action in demanding environment.

Education
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, MBA preferred

Experience
· 8-10 years of retail, insurance, finance or consulting experience and a demonstrated track record of success
· Proven experience leading cross functional team to results
· Experience analyzing and creating new business models, business-building opportunities
