Director - Value Based Contracti - Aetna - New Albany

POSITION SUMMARY
A senior level position responsible for negotiating the most complex and challenging contractual relationships with providers. Works cross functionally within Vice President of Network Management, the ACS Team and the National Network Contracting and Services team to ensure consistency with all strategies. Maintains overall accountability for medical cost management within the Ohio and Kentucky area. Primary responsibilities include development of value based contracting startegies, support of current and development of future Accountable Care Organization (ACO) relationships.

Fundamental Components:
Provide business leadership in support of strategic business objectives. Responsible for development and deployment of value based contracting strategies. Responsible for support of current, development of future, and deployment of Accountable Care Organization (ACO) relationships. Functions as a key business partner in network development and strategic planning. Works collaboratively with other function areas including the Medical Director, quality management, network management, provider relations, informatics, member services and claims management.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
3-5 years leadership and management experience required. Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions based on a thorough understanding of industry issues, trends and the regulatory landscape. Demonstrated ability to create business strategy specific to value based contracting and ACO relationships and to interact successfully with internal and external stakeholders.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, Masters of Business Administration MBA preferred experience.
