Director - Supplier Relationship - Sandoz - New York


Job description

Define and shape supplier strategy and relationships through account plans, targets and projects in collaboration with suppliers and functional managers, proactively manage and improve supplier performance (KPI dashboard), serve as 1st point of escalation if issues cannot be resolved by functional team members.

Major Accountabilities
Lead Supplier Relationship Teams (SRT's) based on suppliers, comprised of quality, sourcing, MS&T functions to ensure Sandoz Novartis standards are met.

Manage performance of the suppliers and SRT's

Serve as primary point of escalation for issues/KPIs
Set targets for the suppliers' KPI dashboards
Set goals for SRT members with functional heads
Review KPIs with suppliers and internal teams

Ensure implementation of CAPAs

Communicate changes and issues with suppliers

Set resource plans and budgets for the SRT

Lead major projects to improve supplier performance
Project and account plans (capacity, saving, changes)
Write 3-5 year strategic plans for accounts

Provide technical expertise in area of responsibility

Lead and review continuous improvement projects

Prioritize and lead innovation ideas in collaboration with suppliers

Assure the SRT has "one voice" to 3rd parties

Coordination across functions and leadership teams

High impact; Net Sales contribution over $300m; Spend at ~$100m

IDEAL BACKGROUND

Education:

Technical Degree with additional qualification in economics or vice versa; English (fluent)

Experience:
Minimum of 8-10 years managerial experience in an operational environment, especially pharmaceutical production environment
