Director - Nuclear Projects - Day & Zimmermann - Greenville


Job description
Responsible for the successful oversight of all contract obligations and labor agreements at his/her assigned project(s) and
ensuring overall governance for assigned contracts/purchase orders/releases maintaining a total agreement view that
assigned Managers of Projects and/or Project Managers (when applicable) are effectively executing all work in a safe and
productive manner and in accordance with the quality standards of both the customer and D&Z
Serves as the principal contact to the Customer for higher level contract/purchase order/release issues, establishing and
maintaining strategic Customer relationships and identifying strategic business development opportunities; responsible for
reporting (internal and external) on assigned contracts/purchase orders/releases, including content and accuracy; presents
reports as required responsible for estimate reviews, budget and profitability on all assigned contracts/purchase
orders/releases responsible for capturing and sharing internal and external industry knowledge and best practices through
continuous learning and development making recommendations for new or improved processes and programs to enhance
the D&Z service delivery
Responsible for assisting the VP, Projects in successfully managing the business line:drives D&Z culture and values,
accountability, use of defined processes and procedures, consistency in execution, and CIP across the Business Line
performs tactical oversight and governance at direction of Business Line VP, supports business development activities,
long-range business line planning and resource management helps to analyze the competitive environment functions as the
Business Line representative for developing and maintaining operational processes and procedures supporting the "D&Z
Way" concept

Supports Customer interface meetings as assigned by the VP, Projects
Oversee the performance of several regional job sites, including financial performance and operational compliance. Sponsor
business development and proposal efforts. Anticipate and resolve operational issues and risks associated with the
projects.Identify opportunities to meet customer needs and expectations. Proactively interacts with customers in order to
understand what is important to the customer.Develop and implement the project infrastructure process and procedures
consistent with D&Z way

Desired Skills and Experience
Experience in Field Operations and Outage Management and Project Management
Experience in Labor relations
Significant experience in Personnel Management
Experience and knowledge in OSHA regulations and maintaing a safe work environment.
Experience and success in maintaining good customer relations
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred
Minimum of an Associate's degree in a relevant field or the completion of a journeyman program required And/or an
equivalent combination of education and experience
Certification in PMP preferred
20 years' experience in projects; minimum 5 years in nuclear
