Job description

Improves Finance Department processes by conducting meetings with Finance Department associates at all levels to review and understand analytical solution needs; influencing company-wide vision and strategy for analytical and reporting tools; reviewing current practices for budgeting, forecasting, strategy, and reporting; and designing and developing Business Intelligence solutions for budgeting, forecasting, strategy, and reporting for Global eCommerce utilizing Oracle/Hyperion and Tableau.
• Develops and deploys Business Intelligence by designing and developing Oracle/Hyperion and Tableau-based solutions for budgeting, forecasting, strategy, and reporting; building flexible toolsets which allow for expansion and change as business needs evolve; and driving efficiency and consistency in the reporting process.
• Manages the technical development of Essbase programs by determining the design and structure of the Essbase data bases; directs the scripting process for Essbase programming; collaborating with the infrastructure team on hardware needs for Essbase upgrades; and providing technical assistance to company business units on Essbase usage and hardware needs to improve overall financial reporting processes.
• Provides overall direction for Business Intelligence in the Finance Business Intelligence team by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer-focused environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
• Ensures that existing controls in the Oracle/Hyperion and Tableau environment are working as intended and modify as required. Look for opportunities to implement new controls/processes to help ensure data integrity, server/database stability and for improved efficiencies. Ensures actions taken in the production environment are approved, follow the appropriate processes and are documented. Ensures software upgrades, server replacement and new software installation occurs as needed.
• Examines and improves existing processes by driving process improvement opportunities, documenting and improving processes, consulting with process owners to ensure the toolset meets their wants and needs, developing analytical tools to allow users greater insight into factors driving business and incorporating planned improvements for systems into toolset being built for existing programs.
• Ensures adherence to compliance and operational risk controls, report controls, compliance and operational deficiencies.
• Works with the Finance and Business Management to understand the business and develop Oracle/Hyperion and Tableau strategies to support the company’s needs.
• Identifies opportunities for effectively satisfying information needs through automation and to further leverage the use of Oracle/Hyperion and Tableau and other tools.
• Provides support to finance end-users by delivering one-on-one and large-group training on Oracle/Hyperion and Tableau Suite; providing problem resolution support for users of Oracle/Hyperion and Tableau Suite; providing support to existing financial applications; diagnosing application problems; and building and automating toolsets for financial reporting

Desired Skills and Experience
8+ years of progressively responsible experience in an Oracle/Hyperion Essbase administration functions including a minimum of 4 years managing the EPM vision/solution and including management of multiple direct reports, required.
• 4-6 years business experience in Finance analytical or process-related field
• History of providing insight and driving changes
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in different geographic locations a positive
• 4 year Bachelor’s degree
• Master’s degree preferred
